This game is an effortless success because it simply combines two legendary games together seamlessly. Players can enjoy two great games at one time with good balance on monopoly city building and solitaire puzzle solving. It creates a unique yet super familiar gameplay for anyone who likes either or both of the two games. The only difference is, instead of rolling a dice, this time your solitaire score decides your legitimate moves.

Offered by MobilityWare, MONOPOLY Solitaire: Card Game is an online mobile game that combines the two original and classic games Monopoly and Solitaire into one. It is available on Google Play and App Store for free download. This game seamlessly merges the gameplay of solitaire card game with the progresses mechanism of Monopoly. In this game, instead of rolling a dice to take moves, players use their Solitaire game results as the legitimate steps they can take on the Monopoly game board. The game rules for playing both parts of the game remain basically the same as they are in the individual games. The general game progress is visualized as the buildings and properties players gradually own on the Monopoly interface, while the game progress is driven by the Solitaire game performance, where the numbers players get will be counted as the number of moves they can take on their Monopoly turn. In such a combo, MONOPOLY Solitaire is essentially a single player playing two games at the same time. Since there is no real competition with others, players may find this game more or less aimless. However, on the other hand, such playing mode makes the game ideal for relaxing and killing time. Although it lacks a competition element, it isn’t necessarily unchallenging. In fact, there are plenty of twists and tricks on the Monopoly playing board such as jails and chance cards that definitely spice up the game. Plus, players also need to play strategically to well handle the Mayfair revenues. In general, it is worth playing for its classic themes and good balance between challenge and relaxation.
How to play
This game is essentially a merge of two classic games on their own right. Therefore, the gameplay remains familiar for players who have played the each individual game separately before. The basic gaming mechanism is to make movements and progress through the monopoly game board. The number of legitimate moves players are allowed to take each time is decided by the solitaire score they receive after solving each level of puzzles. The conventional solitaire rule is to move cards from the seven piles on the table to the four foundation piles from ace to king. Players can choose to reveal either one card or three cards from the stock pile when there is no legitimate move to take on the table. With the scores they get from solitaire, players can take moves accordingly on their monopoly game board. They need to watch out for the jails and avoid being locked in those corners; meanwhile, just like in other monopoly games, players can build their own hotels, mansions and other buildings all along. And they can also rent out their properties to collect rents and race up to be the wealthiest landowner in Mayfair. There are also some special cards to play and bet on the best luck. Players can pass Go to win more and collect their rents; they can also give the chance cards a try to see if they hit any jackpots. It should be noted that the monopoly game here doesn’t set an ultimate goal, which means players can get limitless moves by playing limitless solitaire and collect moving points from it.
