In Mario Kart Tour, players begin with a series of chapters in the series, where players are tasked with winning the race through good driving skills, drifting abilities, and judicious use of weapons. Not only does the game have all the familiar props from the Mario Kart series, but also driver-specific abilities.

Players need to swipe the thumb left and right on the phone screen to control the direction of the kart, and, by tapping or swiping up the screen, throw items such as weapons forward, and swipe down to drop these items. Additionally, the player's kart will continuously auto-accelerate when they are not doing anything. This will be very convenient to play. Players can also use the electric slide to give their kart a brief turbo boost while standing upright, and, when players keep drifting long enough, they get a small speed boost and the kart wheels glow orange. Sparks, then, get the longest speed boost after turning pink. Players will also collect more power ups from the cubes hovering around the track. Because the game is short and only two laps away, the short and exciting duration will not let players get bored. 

There will also be some shortcut roads in Mario Kart Tour, and these shortcuts will be clearly marked for players to discover. That's the subtlety of the game, but it's not the key to winning. In most cases, winning the race depends on the player's driving skills, the power-ups collected, and the chosen racer. After a victory, players receive rewards, as well as match points for increasing combos by completing a series of actions. Players can use all these bonuses to further unlock more karts and characters. Everything looks and plays so fun and cute.
